The client had long relied on manual methods to conduct surveys for their customers. The process involved physically distributing survey questionnaires, manually entering data into spreadsheets, and laboriously analyzing the results. 

The arduous task of manually entering survey data into spreadsheets was not only time-consuming but also prone to human errors, leading to data inaccuracies. These inaccuracies, coupled with extended analysis times, delayed necessary project improvements and adaptations.

To address these challenges, the client wanted to transition to an automated survey collection process. Hence, they required a technology partner with a proven track record in business process automation and data analytics. This is where Daffodil Software stepped in. This partnership was aimed at developing a streamlined automated survey platform, eliminating the need for manual data collection.

The key requirements were to:

Create an interactive and intuitive user interface module to help with easy creation, distribution and managing survey questionnaires.

The Solution

To meet our client’s requirements, our team began by analyzing the manual procedure of survey process to pinpoint its strengths, weaknesses and potential areas for innovation. 

During the development phase, our team developed an automated survey platform using a robust tech stack. We used AngularJS to create an interactive and intuitive user interface that ensures a seamless experience for clients across various devices. We opted Spring Boot for the backend to offer an efficient framework for managing business logic and handling survey data. We selected MongoDB for the database solution due to its flexibility and scalability which is important for handling diverse and dynamic survey data. 

Additionally, integration with Decipher was necessary to export the survey documents into XML format, facilitating automated distribution and real-time data capturing.

We incorporated this feature to the survey platform to effectively manage and coordinate survey projects. Users can effortlessly create survey initiatives, set project goals and outline timelines. This feature allows for the delegation of tasks associated with survey development, distribution and analysis to team members ensuring execution and progress tracking for each survey project. By consolidating all project related tasks in one place this feature boosts efficiency and promotes timely completion of surveys.

User management:

This feature offers a system to oversee users, roles and permissions in the survey platform. Admins can manage user additions or removals assign roles such as survey creator, analyst or viewer and set access levels to restrict data and features to authorized personnel only. This feature enhances security and ensures that the right team members have the appropriate access to perform their tasks efficiently, fostering a collaborative and secure environment for survey projects.

This feature serves as a hub where all survey forms are stored and managed. Individuals can generate, modify and save questionnaires, which can later be used for initiatives ensuring uniformity and standardization across different surveys. The library accommodates templates and previous surveys, facilitating quick implementation and personalization of surveys.
